Giuseppe Tortelli's "Banquet of Baldassarre" back to its former glory with the help of Metal Work
Metal Work is not new to cultural patronage, and this time we have decided to join the Brescia Museums Foundation for the protection of Brescia's artistic heritage. Thanks also to our donation, the restoration of two eighteenth-century paintings by Giuseppe Tortelli will start soon. The paintings are the "Banquet of Baldassarre" and the "Expulsion of Heliodorus". These are two awesome canvases, of four meters by seven, donated in 1890 by a private company to the Tosio Martinengo Art Gallery.
Yesterday afternoon a press conference was held with the announcement of the opening of the works that will take place in the Art Gallery. Visitors in the next three months will therefore have the opportunity to see restorers at work.
The collaboration with the Brescia Museums Foundation will also continue with the creation, thanks to another Metal Work donation, of an online catalog of the Tosio Martinengo collection.
As Daniele Marconi has well explained "We are convinced that the safeguarding of heritage and the spread of knowledge also provide a stimulus to economic development".
